During Sheikh Hasina’s rule, even if someone had once been with Awami League, if they were war criminals — like Mobarak Hossain, who sided with the Razakars during the Liberation War — they were sentenced to death. But the Yunus government has acquitted Jamaat leader ATM Azharul Islam, sentenced to death for war crimes.

Dr. Yunus once said, “The new Bangladesh will be one of equality, justice, and humanity.”

But what we see is — murderers released, terrorists rewarded, rapists garlanded — while the victims stand in court corridors with tears in their eyes.

Prisons are emptying — the corrupt, the killers, the war criminals, the terrorists — all enjoying a “new freedom.”

Where the Awami League never hesitated to punish even its own party members, the Yunus government is freeing top terrorists and extremists from jail.
