No bail, denial of medical treatment and torture killing arbitrarily detained party activists inside jails, worst even rights abuses legitimised under extrajudicial ban on Awami League
While convicted terrorists and extremists are released from jail on bail, cops are now abusing the draconian anti terror law to detain torture and kill political dissenters in jail with impunity.
Aged 55, Nurul Islam, general secretary of ward number 7 under Mirsarai municipality, was not convicted of crime. Yet for his affiliation with Awami League, cops arbitrarily detained him and locked behind the bars for over 30 days in Chittagong despite his critical health condition, a glaring indictment of ongoing mass killing of citizens associated with Awami League.
Denied of treatment and allegedly subjected to torture, the valiant pro people leader passed away today.
This deliberate killing of political activists inside prisons are going with impunity, instigated by silence of UN and global rights bodies.
All these killings are indemnified by the extrajudicial ban imposed by Yunus regime and further.
