Published on May 31, 2025What is happening in Bangladesh today is not a typical economic crisis—it is the result of a planned state capture and looting operation. Since Dr. Muhammad Yunus seized power, the country’s economy has plunged into unprecedented disaster. Multiple credible sources confirm that over 10 trillion taka has been siphoned abroad through corruption and embezzlement during his tenure. This money belongs to the poor of Bangladesh, to working people, to the children of this soil.
Due to Dr. Yunus’s gross incompetence, irresponsibility toward the people, and systemic mismanagement, millions now live below the poverty line. Prices of essential goods are skyrocketing, yet incomes remain stagnant. Many families can no longer afford three meals a day. Parents are in anguish, unable to feed their children.
The mask of Yunus’s so-called “transparency and humanity” has now fallen. The man once hailed globally as a messenger of peace is now dragging an entire nation into hunger, fear, and despair. By placing his loyalists at every level of the state apparatus, he has ensured a free pass for unchecked plunder—there is no longer any doubt about it.
Alarming reports point to massive secret fund outflows from the banking and financial sectors, development agencies, and foreign aid programs. There are growing calls for an international investigation to trace these funds in offshore accounts.
What we’re witnessing is a country without democracy, without accountability. The media is being silenced, dissent is being crushed. In such a situation, resistance by the people is the only path forward.
We demand justice for the corruption of Dr. Yunus and his accomplices.
We demand that the looted money be returned to the people of Bangladesh.
