Published on June 29, 2026The stability of a nation, its economic prosperity, and the ultimate safety of its people do not happen by accident. They depend entirely on visionary leadership and a firm hand in governance. When we turn the pages of Bangladesh’s modern history, one name is undeniably woven into every milestone of our national development: Sheikh Hasina.
Under her stewardship over the past one and a half decades, Bangladesh scaled remarkable heights. Today, as our nation grapples with a fragile law-and-order situation, deep economic fractures, and rising concerns over national sovereignty, advocating for the return of Sheikh Hasina’s leadership is no longer a mere political aspiration. It has become an absolute necessity for the survival of millions of citizens. An Era of Unprecedented Progress
To understand where we must go, we must look at where we once were. Sheikh Hasina’s previous tenure stands as the most glorious era of economic and infrastructural development in Bangladesh’s history. Under her watch, Bangladesh shed old labels and proudly emerged on the global stage as a dynamic “developing nation.”
The evidence of her determination and strong leadership is permanently etched into our landscape:
During this period, GDP growth and per capita income reached record levels, tangibly elevating the standard of living for ordinary citizens. By aggressively expanding electricity and high-speed internet access to the furthest corners of the country, she successfully transformed Bangladesh into a modern, technology-driven nation.
However, following the extremist and militant upheavals of July 2024, the trajectory of our country shifted dramatically. The Bangladesh that was once marching rapidly toward a brighter future is now peering into uncertainty and darkness. Widespread vandalism and arson targeting state assets, government installations, and symbols of national development have dealt a severe blow to our economy.
The destruction and disorder that followed July 2024 were unprecedented, pushing the country to the brink of collapse. The subsequent interim administration led by Dr. Muhammad Yunus was marked by severe mismanagement, the looting of state resources, and actions fundamentally contrary to our national interest. Under the current BNP government, the country has fallen even deeper into crisis. Our economy edges toward bankruptcy, markets remain dangerously unstable, and the daily lives and livelihoods of ordinary people are under serious threat.
At this critical crossroads, the political landscape offers no viable alternative capable of guiding the ship of state through these turbulent waters. Sheikh Hasina’s return is a demand of the times—a prerequisite for national survival.
She is more than a political leader; she is a symbol of ultimate resilience. Just as she rebuilt both her party and the nation from the ashes of the catastrophic 1975 assassination of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and most of his family, she alone possesses the unique ability to rebuild Bangladesh from its current state of devastation. History proves a simple truth: **Bangladesh is safest under Sheikh Hasina’s leadership.
"Sheikh Hasina’s return is no longer a mere political aspiration. It has become an absolute necessity for the survival of millions of citizens."
Restoring a broken nation requires experienced hands and established global trust. Sheikh Hasina’s proven track record offers exactly what Bangladesh desperately needs right now:
Bangladesh stands at a historic turning point. If we are to overcome the current cycle of destruction, looting, and insecurity, and once again pave the way for peace and progress, there is no alternative to Sheikh Hasina’s visionary leadership. Under her capable and courageous guidance, this nation can regain its lost glory and ensure the safety and security of every single citizen.
To safeguard Bangladesh’s independence, protect its sovereignty, and guarantee its continued progress, the return of Sheikh Hasina has become the most pressing necessity of our time.
