The Indian foreign secretary, he said, told the premier New Delhi made 14 commitments during her counterpart Narendra Modi Dhaka visit in June last and by eight of the pledges were fulfilled.
"We have made good progress as eight commitments have already been fulfilled in nearly one year and we are vigorously working to meet other pledges," Jaishankar said particularly pointing out notable developments in cooperation in energy and power sector.
The Indian foreign secretary said a number of Indian companies have shown interest to set up a deep seaport in Bangladesh.
Sheikh Hasina, he said, told the Indian foreign secretary that the proposed deep seaport could be established through a consortium.
The Indian foreign secretary thanked the Bangladesh government for its support to India for its initiatives for launching SAARC Satellite.
The premier's press secretary said Sheikh Hasina expressed satisfaction over the progress of fulfilling the pledges made during the historic June 2015 visit of her counterpart.
"The bilateral ties between the two neighbouring countries reached a new height following his (Modi) visit . . . we are in fact enjoying the best of relations," she said.
Referring to ratification of the landmark Land Boundary Agreement by the Indian Parliament, Sheikh Hasina thanked the Indian government, particularly members of Lok Shabha and Rajiya Shabha, for passing the bill unanimously.
"It has set an example for others," she commented. Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Syed Moazzem Ali, PM's Principal Secretary Md Abul Kalam Azad, Foreign Secretary M Shahidul Haque and Indin High Commissioner to Bangladesh Harsha Bardhan Shringla and Deputy High Commissioner Dr Adarsh Swaika were present on the occasion.
