The visit aims at deepening and expanding bilateral cooperation in delta management, land reclamation from the water bodies, land protection and flood management.
Targeting the visit, hopes are running high that fresh impetus will be infused in the bilateral cooperation in technological development in human resources and education and agriculture. Moreover, the Dutch country is expected to help Bangladesh improve the ready-made garment sector through branding and marketing.
This visit comes as a first one for the Bangladesh Premier to Europe since the Awami League-led government has assumed power in January 2014. She will lead a 25-member delegation while a 19-member business delegation will also accompany her.
Agriculture research, food security, hide industry, shipping and jute also have been identified as new areas of cooperation.
PM will hold a bilateral meeting with Mark Rutte, call on Queen Maxima of the Netherlands and will address a seminar to be attended by the leading businessmen of the Netherlands.
She will also visit the Port of Rotterdam, the projects of its river dredging, land reclamation, land preservation, farms, and agro-processing plants. The Dutch experts will demonstrate their skills and expertise in these sectors.
During the visit, the two countries are expected to sign four memorandums of understanding on political consultations, foreign services, education and readymade garment sector.
