Saying that the society is against the culture of business, Joy urges to eliminate the systematic complexity and to finance new entrepreneurships.

Joy shared his plans and ideas about industry and business at a discussion with the young entrepreneurs titled ‘Policy Café with Sajeeb Wazed Joy: The Engine of Growth’.

Asking for cooperation to prepare ways for entrepreneurs, Joy said, ‘You are our next generation. If your children are interested in business, please encourage them.’

He said, ‘We must strengthen our economy. Our rapid growth will not come just from public or service sectors. Rapid growth comes from private sectors.’

About the current curriculum, Joy thinks, ‘We should put emphasis specifically on the business schools.’

Joy believes, along with technology, entrepreneurs and businessmen are the engines for growth. Internal demand made many economies strong and Bangladesh has that demand.

Regarding stock market, Joy said initiatives have been taken for the entrepreneurs so that they can earn with a small capital.

Joy believes, non-residential Bangladeshis (NRB) can form venture funds to support small and medium entrepreneurs.

To create entrepreneurs, Joy feels the need for research and development. He said, ‘We are trailing the developed countries in research and development. Those who are ahead of us, have put weight in research and development.’

‘We put importance in research for agricultural sector. That’s why there is no setback in this sector. Without adequate research, rapid growth isn’t possible.’
