Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday inaugurated Bangladesh’s own embassy complex in Tokyo hoping that the existing relations with Japan will be strengthened further.
Bangladesh proposed developing a common platform for flow of remittance in the SAARC region and said Sri Lanka may share its initiative to constitute a financial centre to this end.
Japan assured Bangladesh of fulfilling its commitment to provide Bangladesh with US$ 6 billion and under the arrangement, Bangladesh would get US$ 1.5 billion this year.
