Bangladesh Awami League expresses deep sorrow and strong condemnation over the horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, which claimed the lives of innocent tourists. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and wish a speedy recovery to the injured.

We firmly believe that there is no place in global civilization for such heinous crimes against humanity. These extremist groups, who murder people based on religious identity, pose a grave threat to peace and stability. Those who support or harbor these terrorists are enemies of humanity, and we denounce them with utmost contempt.

While unity against terrorism is more essential than ever, we regretfully observe that in the past eight months, Bangladesh has become a sanctuary for extremism and militancy. Notorious terrorists have been released from prison, and millions are facing persecution on religious grounds. Innocent people are being murdered, subjected to gang rape, and their homes and businesses are being attacked, looted, and vandalized. Meanwhile, those responsible are enjoying impunity.

We stand in solidarity with the people of India and reaffirm our commitment to fully support India in the fight against terrorism. Our stance against extremism and militancy is unwavering. We believe that defeating these terrorist forces will uphold justice and human rights and lead to a safer world.

Joy Bangla,
Joy Bangabandhu.
Down with terrorism, let humanity prevail.
