Prime Minister and Awami League president Sheikh Hasina condemned the assassination attempt on US presidential candidate Donald Trump.
“I condemn this attack on US soil though the country takes brag about democracy. How can such an abominable assassination attempt be executed on US” questioned Honourbale Prime Minister (HPM) Sheikh Hasina. She was replying to a question raised by a journalist on Sunday.
She said 'This assassination attempt on a presidential candidate --Donald Trump-- has been extremely disturbing and disheartening'.
“As bullet pierced upper part of his ear it indicates a narrow escape for the presidential candidate”, added the premier who also reportedly faced at least 19 assassination attempts.
Reportedly as many as 19 attempts have been orchestrated including the most lethal one known as 21st August grenade attack in 2004 on her life.
While she was addressing a peace rally in the capital against terrorism militants rained down grenades killing at least 24 activists and leaving her ear drum damaged.
“Bullets and bombs remained as constant threat in my path to path to serve the people of the country”, told the premier.
She also reminded that “even shortly after the grenade attack to liquidate me a quarter instead blamed me for the attack.
The spin doctors even churned out that “I had carried the grenade in my vanity bag back then”.
