The sweeping victory of Bangladesh origin women in this UK polls brought a moment of pride and glory.
Their rise to this new height marks a momentous occasion to hold our head high, serves as a source of inspiration and a testament to the power and resilence of women.

Elected for the first time in 2015, Dr Rupa Huq has been re-elected for Ealing Central and Acton, Rushanara Ali was elected from Bethnal Green and Stepney and Apsana Begum won from Poplar and Lime House seat. For fourth consecutive term, Tulip Siddiq, a granddaughter of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman who throughout her life subjected to insurmountable odds for family identity, has been re-elected by a huge margin in the Hampstead and Highgate constituency.
