Under the leadership of Sajib Wazed Joy, the country has moved from a labor-based economy to a technology-based economy. We are now enjoying the developed form of Digital Bangladesh in our daily life. From the treatment of life-threatening diseases, online technology has become a means of human communication.60 percent of the total population of Bangladesh is young. Sajib Wazed wants to move forward with this youth. He thinks that if we can employ two-thirds of the total population of the country in the field of information technology, then very soon we will be able to occupy a significant part of the world market of information technology.
These young people are our wealth. The government has taken various initiatives in training these people to make them skilled in the ICT sector. All works are going on with the aim of establishing a technology-based society by giving priority to the youth and their participation. Union Digital Centers have been set up in about four and a half thousand unions in the country to make the necessary activities accessible to the common man. Services are being delivered to the people through these centers. From filling out exam forms, applying for jobs, registering for Corona exams, to shopping, degrees from various universities abroad are also being taken at home since March 2020. People can easily avail services through mobile banking and i-banking without going to the bank. Corona is sitting at home, working online, and taking classes. All this has been possible for the welfare of digital Bangladesh.
Sajeeb Wazed Joy, is the same age as Bangladesh. He was born on 27 July 1971 in Dhaka. He can shoulder any responsibility in the future. He holds a BSc degree in Computer Engineering from India and an MA in Public Administration from Harvard University in the United States. In 2006, he was named one of the 250 young world leaders. As an adviser to Awami League President Sheikh Hasina, he has been aware of politics for a long time. He was instrumental in the release of Sheikh Hasina from prison by the military caretaker government in June 2008.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina made her political debut in 1981. In its continuation, Sajeeb Wazed Joy has created new expectations by inspiring the young forces of the country. Like Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Mother Sheikh Hasina, he has an extraordinary ability to attract the common people sincerely. Naturally, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's worthy successor Sajeeb Wazed Joy. The vision of most people in the country is focused on this third-generation leadership.
He is as hardworking as Bangabandhu. He wants to build Awami League as a new day political party in the spirit of youth. However, there is no denying that the Awami League is still the most politically powerful and popular party in the context of Bangladesh. Today's youth can show the way to the future of Bangladesh as shown by Sajeeb Wazed Joy. He is now on the stage of politics due to his legacy of politics.
Sajeeb Wazed Joy is the creator of Digital Bangladesh. He has made remarkable contributions to the development of youth leadership in Bangladesh, showing their dreams, their employment, inspiring youth to build entrepreneurship, assisting in technological development, industrialization and research. He is the only talented leader in the developing world who is working to prepare his country for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. He has contributed to the unprecedented digitalization that has taken place in this country, from offices and courts to tenders or bank transactions.
That is why it is natural to remember Sajeeb Wazed Joy, the son of this country when online communication has become the only means of communication in the world due to the impact of COVID-19. Since March the year 2020, we have been well aware of the example of getting everything possible in online banking or mobile banking from house arrest to prevent the spread of the disease. The agrarian society has gradually become a technology-dependent society. Technology has spread in this country only by working under the direction of Sajeeb Wazed Joy. As a result, modern Bangladesh has developed.
Sajeeb Wazed Joy Visionary Leader. He saw the future of Bangladesh in 2009, so today more than 100 million people in the country are using the Internet. The application of information technology in the education sector has increased. All organizations are now dependent on technology, especially in the COVID-19 pandemic. The Business Incubation Center has been set up at the university just as the children are studying ICT in the curriculum. Even the country's BPO sector is currently exporting more than 100 million; More than 50,000 employment opportunities have been created. Six and a half lakh people are currently working in the ICT sector. By 2025, 1 million people will have the opportunity to work in this sector and Bangladesh is dreaming of earning 500 million USD all this has been possible according to the plan of Sajib Wazed Joy.
As Bangladesh has progressed under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina in the last century, with the visionary decision of her son, this country has become a country of a modern economy based on technology. In accelerating the progress of Digital Bangladesh, Sajeeb Wazed Joy has always said that the Awami League must be given a chance to end the unfinished revolution of development. According to him, the continuity of development must be maintained for a new and modern Bangladesh. Now is an important time for Bangladesh. Technology has kept our economic activities moving in response to the pandemic. For this, different strategies have to be taken to counter the propaganda of the opposition and to present the success of the government to the people.
Sajeeb Wazed Joy has created a stir in the development of Bangladesh. He doesn't just think about technology, he values people. Be sympathetic to people's grief. The father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and parents' scientists like M A Wazed Miah and Sheikh Hasina, he has an extraordinary ability to draw ordinary people to him. He has attracted the attention of the people of the country in many ways. The leadership of the new generation like Joy has initiated positive changes in our politics as well as made overall progress in development. The footsteps of the new generation in politics are an additional gain for us as we move forward. According to the Election Commission, about 23 lakh young voters come to the voter list every year. Out of 9 crores 21 lakh voters, 4 crore voters are below 40 years of age.
We are now seeing the real picture of the dream that 'Digital Bangladesh' showed us a decade ago. During the last 16 months of COVID, we have done all the office work on the internet at home, video conferencing; we have done banking with Fintech, have done online shopping, have taken doctor's advice in telemedicine. We have also seen dramas and movies through streaming and OTT. We have now seen very well the benefits of Sajeeb Wazed Joy's Digital Bangladesh. When court proceedings are going on online, when students are studying using e-learning, when farmers and ranchers are avoiding middlemen, they are selling their crops directly to consumers; When young people in remote areas of the country are earning foreign exchange by freelancing; Then the nation realized the foresight of Sajeeb Wazed Joy.
Sajeeb Wazed Joy, the Architect of Digital Bangladesh, has shown his wisdom in many ways. Avoiding bureaucratic complications, he formed 'A2I' under the direct supervision of the Prime Minister's Office, through which he created the Bangladesh National Digital Architecture (BNDA) Framework. Based on this framework, he has made a blueprint for bringing all government services online. All government services will reach the doorsteps of the citizens in digital Bangladesh. As the service is at hand, a citizen does not have to go to the government. Whoever is there, can sit and take government services.
When Bangladesh's artificial satellite 'Bangabandhu Satellite-1' was launched into space in 2016, many did not realize Sajeeb Wazed Joy's far-reaching plan. Using these satellites, television channels are now not only saving billions of rupees in foreign exchange but also selling the frequency of these satellites abroad. Bangladesh's prestige has also increased in the world as it has its satellite. By 2041, a knowledge-based in Bangladesh. The software and services sector has been exempted from tax on the advice of Sajeeb Wazed Joy. He is formulating policies with all stakeholders to ensure that the 'Made in Bangladesh' digital device gets international status. By creating 39 high-tech and software technology parks across the country, it is encouraging domestic and foreign investment. He has helped in formulating universal policies so that the country's mobs and rural youth, as well as housewives, can contribute to the economy by relying on digital commerce. The sale price of bandwidth has been fixed with the announcement of 'One Country, One Rate' so that marginalized people can get affordable high-speed internet as well as city dwellers. We see the reflection of the personality, passion, and patriotism of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in his grandson Sajeeb Wazed Joy.
