Published on March 23, 2021The Communist Party of China (CPC) has conveyed its heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for the people of Bangladesh and the ruling Awami League on the occasion of the country’s 50 years of independence.
The international department of the party’s central committee issued a press release in this regard on Tuesday.
CPC remarked that Bangladesh, under the leadership of the Awami League, has had remarkable achievements in national development over the past five decades.
“It was 50 years ago that Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman founded the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
“The country now reaches a crucial stage of national development and is marching toward the realization of the ‘Sonar Bangla’ dream,” read the release.
Rejoicing at the outstanding achievements of Bangladesh since its independence, CPC “saluted” Awami League for its important contribution to the independence, development, and progress of the nation.
“Both the CPC and the Awami League shoulder the lofty responsibility of realizing the dream of national development and creating a better life for all.
“We at the CPC stand ready to work with the Awami League to implement the important consensus reached between leaders of our two parties and two countries as we make concerted efforts to build a new type of party-to-party relations that seeks to expand common ground while reserving differences and enhances mutual respect and mutual learning,” said the release.
“What we do together will go a long way towards providing political guidance for the alignment of our development strategies, the promotion of our Belt and Road cooperation, and the deepening of China-Bangladesh strategic cooperative partnership,” added the release.
CPC also wished Bangladesh success and prosperity and its people happiness.
Bangladesh is hosting a 10-day special program marking the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and 50 years of Bangladesh's Independence.
