Healthcare; At Everyone’s Doorsteps

Getting proper healthcare is one of the fundamental rights of an individual. A healthy nation is impossible without healthy people. A healthy nation is one of the main catalysts behind the development of a country. Keeping these in mind, the grand alliance government led by Bangladesh Awami League has given premium importance to the health sector.

Secured Maternal Health:

Because of the hard work and devotion of the current government in health sector, now Bangladesh can stand among other countries of the world by keeping its head high. Current government has provided modern and scientific training for the birth attendant. This resulted into the increase of secure d delivery of the mothers from 18% to 31.7 %. Various initiatives taken by the AL government like reducing the birth rate, women education and emergency maternal care has helped to reduce the rate of maternal death to .19% and the government is trying to further reducing this rate to .14% by 2015.

Reducing Child Mortality;

Children are the future architect of a nation. Child health has been a major priority for the Awami League government because of this. Awami League government has already achieved MDG-4 of the United Nation by reducing the rate of child mortality. Because of these achievements, now Bangladesh is a role model for many developing and developed country. With the help of the vaccination campaign government has been able to remove polio from Bangladesh. Because of this Bangladesh government has been awarded the “Gavi Alliance” award twice.

Healthcare for the Rural People:

To provide healthcare for the rural people, Bangladesh government has established 13,000 community clinics. Since then 4.5 crore people took health services from these clinics. Current Awami League government has also modernized the existing medical colleges in our country. Apart from these ,government has approved the establishment of 10 new medical college and 3 new dental units.  For the purpose of quick health care government has provided 300 ambulances for district hospitals and various health complexes.

Apart from different obstacles, the achievements of the Awami League government in health sector are really praiseworthy. Bangladesh Awami league wants to make Bangladesh a role model for all the countries of the world in health sector.
