With this Bangladesh has stood up again in the international arena after 1971.

Because of this decision, inhabitants of this region now can easily move for the purpose of their business and basic amenities.
Bangladesh is playing an important role in establishing peace throughout the world with the UN Peacekeeping missions. Bangladesh has always been the first country to respond to the UN in any kind of hostile situation. At 2012, when all the nations were divided on Syria issue, Bangladesh was the first country to send its troops there. Bangladesh willingly sent one sector reserve company of its troops in Darfur in one month after the escalation of Darfur crisis. Because of these, Bangladesh was highly acclaimed by the other nations of the world.

Bangladesh has also implemented “Charter of Democracy” of SAARC. Bangladesh has also engaged itself as a partner with United Nations and other international organizations in 12 conventions and protocols to remove terrorism.
Apart from these activities, Bangladesh has various achievements in its foreign relationship sector. During the tenure of the Awami League government Bangladesh has increased its diplomatic and economic ties with the countries of Middle-East. This resulted into the increasing number of manpower exports in those countries. Bangladesh has been able to be elected on different position of different international organizations. Such as: IMO Council, UNICEF, UNDP, UNFPA, UNEP, FAO, UN Women, Human Rights Council, ECOSOC, UNESCO, WHO, CEDAW etc.
