"A letter signed by Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has been sent to all units of cities, districts, thanas, pourasabas and unions throughout the country asking to observe Genocide Day in a befitting manner," said AL office secretary Dr Abdus Sobhan Golap.
The Jatiya Sangsad (parliament) on Saturday unanimously adopted a resolution to observe March 25 as the "Gonohotya Dibos" (Day of Genocide).
