Published on December 20, 2016In a gesture of long standing friendly exchange, the Central Committee of Communist Party of China (CPC) has congratulated the Central Committee of Bangladesh Awami League, elected recently through a two day national conference, attended by a good number of party activists and leaders from rural to urban.
Held between October 22 and October 23, Honourable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was reelected as the party president while Obaidul Quader took charge as the new General Secretary to set the course of the party for next three years.
In a congratulatory letter, the CPC central committee pinned hopes that the bilateral relation with Bangladesh, under the leadership of party president Sheikh Hasina, will reach a newer height, expressing their optimism that the long forged ties would bring in fruition for both countries in future.
In reference to the recent visit by the Chinese President Xi Jinping, the letter read, “The CPC has enjoyed long standing friendly exchanges and cooperation with Bangladesh Awami League, which has made important contributions to the sustained, sound and steady growth of our state-to-state relations.”
