In this connection, she referred to the comments of BNP leaders Shah Moazzem Hossain and Hannan Shah and said that nothing is regrettable than if the BNP leaders want to make questionable the role of the police force in this regard.

"Why the BNP leaders are showing such affection to the militants, and it will have to be examined whether they are engaged in any conspiracies," she said.

The premier said this while delivering her winding up speech at the 11th session of the 10th Jatiya Sangsad.

She said the members of the police force are carrying out operations against the militants and arresting or making attack on the militants risking their life.

Referring to recent terrorist attacks in Germany, the USA, France and Japan, the premier said the terrorists were killed on the spot by the law enforcers or they committed suicide in those countries. "It's the rule of curbing militants," she said.

She said the law enforcers in those countries did not nurture the terrorists by picking up on their lap.

The premier said the militants involved in Kalyanpur and Gulshan used similar bags and wore similar dresses and "pagri" on their heads.

"Despite that what is the reason for suspicion about the militants in Kalyanpur by the BNP leaders. Why the BNP leaders are crying for the militants ... it's a matter of doubt," she said.

The prime minister said the entire nation is now united about clamping down militancy. "I have firm belief that we would be able to contain militancy Insha Allah," she said.

Sheikh Hasina said every body from parents to teachers remain careful about militancy. "We want to curb terrorism and militancy by taking cooperation of all and take forward the country further," she said.

Mentioning the Kalyanpur operation, the premier said the police and other law enforcement agencies have been able to contain the militants very courageously.

"It's a blessing of Allah who saved the country from another dreadful attack," she said.

Referring to the targeted killings in recent time, Sheikh Hasina said when the people resisted killing of people in broad daylight by the BNP-Jamaat nexus, at that time this evil forces launched secret killings in the country.

"When the BNP-Jamaat's secret killings were thwarted, the Gulshan cafe attack was perpetrated," she said.

Highlighting the stunning success of the government in various sectors, the premier said the country has been marching towards development as the government has undertaken well thought out plan.

The prime minister said Bangladesh would have advanced much, had Bangabandhu not been assassinated in 1975.

She also elaborated disparity in different fields including administration and defence between East Pakistan and West Pakistan before the emergence of Bangladesh as an independent country.
