Published on June 29, 2016The Prime Minister said this while placing emphasis on ensuring care for children of working mothers at a meeting of Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Tuesday.
"We want to set up daycare centers at the private sector industries ... factory owners will only have to give land for this purpose. The government will provide necessary cooperation, including construction of daycare centres," Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal told reporters after the meeting quoting the Premier.
All the developed countries in the world have daycare centres at the workplaces of mothers, said the planning minister, adding that the Prime Minister wants to set up necessary daycare centers at the women's workplaces so that the working mothers can perform their responsibility attentively.
In the ECNEC meeting, the government has approved a project for construction of 20 daycare centres in the country.
At present, there are 43 government-run daycare centres across the country.
