Published on June 15, 2016Speaking in Parliament on Wednesday, Hasina said she had made the country’s position clear to leaders of G7 nations during the forum’s recent Outreach meeting in Japan.
“The world leaders are aware of Bangladesh’s zero tolerance policy towards terrorism and militancy.”
Replying a query from MP Nur-e-Hasna Lili Chowdhury, she said, “Terrorism and militancy are a matter that now comes up in unofficial discussions in global summits as well. The discussions we had on this were unofficial.”
The House leader said that Bangladesh had been lauded for its stance on terrorism, “I said (while speaking to world leaders) that militancy can be crushed with cooperation from all.”
