Qatar is ready to provide in LNG export and technology exchanges

He said this while Bangladesh State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid paid a courtesy call at his office on Sunday, according to an official release.

During the meeting they discussed different bilateral issues.

Stressing on Qatari investment in power and energy sectors, the Bangladesh state minister said investment friendly environment is now prevailing in Bangladesh.

They also discussed about extension of memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Qatar on G2G LNG import and cooperation on such issues.

The Qatari Minister mentioned that Qatar is ready to extend all out cooperation to Bangladesh in energy cooperation including LNG import from Qatar, knowledge sharing, technology transfer etc.

Regarding the upcoming visit of His Highness Emir of Qatar to Bangladesh, the Bangladesh State Minister mentioned that Bangladesh is eagerly waiting to receive His Highness and requested the Qatari Minister to become the part of this historic visit. He also requested the Qatari Minister to visit Bangladesh at his convenience. The Qatari Minister has gladly accepted the invitation.

Ambassador of Bangladesh to Qatar Ashud Ahmed, Chief Executive Officer of RasGas Hamad Mubarak Al Muhannadi, delegation members of the State Minister and Embassy officials were present during the meeting.

State Minister Nasrul Hamid went to Qatar to attend 16th Doha Forum from May 21 to 23.
