At the seminar, Health and Family Welfare minister and chief guest of the seminar Mohammed Nasim said, fundamentalist wings are getting organized in Rajshahi. Administration, student organizations and 14-party alliance have to unite to uproot the militants. If the pro-liberation forces are united militants will not be able to rise their heads.
At the seminar held on Sunday, Awami League Presidium member and Health Minister Mohammad Nasim MP, General Secretary of Bangladesh Workers Party Fazle Hossain Badsha MP, Vice Chancellor of Rajshahi University Prof. Dr. Mizan Uddin, General Secretary of Shamyabadi Dal Dilip Barua, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal's Nazmul Haq Prodhan, Rajshahi District Awami League's Asaduzzaman Asad were present along with the other leaders of 14-party alliance. Rajshahi University Teacher's Association's President Prof. M Shahidullah and General Secretary Shah Azam Shantanu were also present at the seminar.
Earlier, teachers and students of English department brought out a silent procession in front of Shahidullah Arts Building. Then they joined the seminar.
Mr. Nasim and the leaders from Rajshahi University Teacher's Association met with the family of Prof. Karim after the seminar.
