The Prime Minister said this while addressing a monitoring committee meeting at her office to review the progress of the first-track projects of the government, PM's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim said.
She condemned recent killings of Bangladeshi couple in California and eight members of a single family in Ohio State of USA and hoped that the US government would be able to bring them to justice.
About the recent killings in the country, the Prime Minister said, it's evident that the evil force which openly burnt people alive in the name of movement, have hands behind these killings.
The law enforcers are actively engaged with the task of investigating the murders and all criminals would be arrested through investigation, she said.
Sheikh Hasina said the killers go to kill people during prayers time instead of going to mosques. Actually the killers have no faith in Allah and any national identity, she said.
"Allah is the best adjudicator. So, how they kill a person in the name of protecting the religion," she asked. She urged the people to remain careful against such conspiracy.
It was the forth meeting of the first-track projects monitoring committee. MInister for Road Communication and Bridges Obaidul Qader, Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan, Railway Minister Mujibul Haq, Planning Minister AHM Mostafa Kamal, Land Minister Shamsur Rahman Sharif, PM's Advisor Dr Moshiur Rahman, State Minister for Energy and Power Nasrul Hamid Bipu, State Minister for Finance M A Mannan, PM's Principal Secretary Abul Kalam Azad and concerned secretaries were present.
Karim said the meeting discussed the progress of implementation of ten first- track projects. They are- Padma Multipurpose Bridge Project, Padma Bridge Rail Link Project, Rooppur Nuclear Power Project, 2x660MW Moitree Super Thermal Power Project at Rampal, Matarbari 2x600 MW Ultra Super Critical Coal Fired Power Project, Dhaka Mass Rapid Transit Development Project (Metro Rail), LNG Terminal Construction Project, Deep Seaport Construction Project,
Paira Deep Seaport Project, Single line duel gauge rail line project from Dohazari to Cox's bazar via Ramu and Ramu to Ghundhum of Myanmar border.
The committee reviewed the progress of the implementation of the projects, the press secretary said.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said the government wants to implement the projects at shortest possible time as country's overall development is linked to their implementation.
She said massive development works have began in the southern part of the country, which had been neglected for long time. She said the dignity of Bangladesh as a role model of development should be maintained.
Pointing out her government's plan to reduce poverty further ten percent by 2021 the Prime Minister said the projects should be implemented as quick as possible with utmost transparency to build a hunger and poverty free Bangladesh.
