Health Call Centre introduced: 24/7 health service for all

Now people would be able to get health advice and other services by calling 16263 anytime and from anywhere.

Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim formally inaugurated the health call centre at a function at the conference centre of the health ministry.

He said the inauguration of the government call centre was one more epoch-making initiative of Prime minister Sheikh Hasina to reach health services to the doorsteps of the people.

The function was told that besides giving health related information, the call center will even help the patients across the country to call public and private ambulances.

The call center will also receive complaints against public and private hospitals and clinics.

The services could also be availed through website- 16263.dghs.gov.bd, email- [email protected] and SMS- +8801511-316263.

MIS division of the department of health has introduced the services with the financial assistance of UKAID of the United Kingdom.

Presided over by Health Secretary Syed Manzurul Islam, the function addressed by State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Zahid Malek, Department of Health Director General Prof. Dr. Deen M. Nurul Haq and Department of Family Planning Director General Mohammad Wahi Hassan, among others.
