The Prime Minister expressed the interests at a meeting with Queen Maxima of Netherlands at the UN headquarters here on Tuesday evening. Queen Maxima, also the UN Secretary General's Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development, apprised the Prime Minister of the inclusive finance programme.
The Queen said she is going to launch a strategy on the inclusive finance programme and wanted presence of the Bangladesh Prime Minister at that time.
Sheikh Hasina informed the Queen about various development of Bangladesh including food security and school textbooks distribution, internet connectivity and social safety net programme.
The Prime Minister sought support of the Queen in various uplift programmes including river dredging and climate resilience.
Sheikh Hasina said that the Netherlands may help Bangladesh in implementing the 'Delta Plan'.
In reply, the Queen said Netherlands would take more programmes for implementation of the 'Delta Plan'.
