The regular cabinet meeting headed by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina approved the agreement signed between the organisations and the Bangladesh government.
The decision to set up a Sarso headquarters was taken during the Saarc summit in 2008, and establishing the Bimstec headquarters was taken during the annual summit held at Myanmar last year.
The cabinet also approved the rectification of the Motor Vehicle Agreement signed among Bangladesh, Bhutan, India and Nepal, said Cabinet secretary Musharraf Hossain Bhuiyanin at a press briefing.
He also said the ratification was needed as part of completing the formalities of effectiveness of the deal by the respective governments in their own process.
