Bangladesh ICT Expo-2015 Kicks Off Today

“Tax holiday facility for ICT up to 2024 as proposed in the budget for the next fiscal year is a clear indication to achieve the target,” he told a press conference at BICC in the capital on sunday.

The press event was to announce the schedule of a three-day hardware-based Bangladesh ICT Expo-2015, one of the biggest-ever expositions in the ICT sector of the country, begins in the city on 15th June.

State Minister said Bangladesh is transforming from a labour-based country to a knowledge based one, upcoming 3 day long ICT expo will be an excellent platform to start our new journey.

Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS), the apex trade body of technology industry, along with ICT division of the Ministry of Post Telecommunication is going to organise the event at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC).

President Adbul Hamid is expected to inaugurate the technology carnival to promote the ‘Made in Bangladesh’ theme in the technology world.

ICT Secretary Shyam Sundar Shikder, BCS President AHM Mahfuzul Arif, ICT Additional Secretary Harun ur Rashid, BCS Secretary General Nazrul Islam Milon, ICT Expo-2015 Convenor Muzibur Rahman Swapon also spoke at the press conference.
