On the occasion, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid her homage at first at the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The Prime Minister stood in solemn silence for few minutes in front of the portrait .
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paying respect, as the President of Awami League, placed the second wreath at the portrait of Bangabandhu and stood for few moments in silence.
Awami League advisory council member and Minister for Industries Amir Hossain Amu, Awami League Presidium members and Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury, Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader, Advocate Sahara Khatun, Satish Chandra Roy, Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif MP, Organizing Secretary Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury MP, Law Affars Secretary Advocate Abdul Matin Khosru, Agriculture Affairs Secretary Dr Abdur Razzaque MP, Office Secretary Dr Abdus Sobhan Golap, Information and Research Secretary Advocate Afzal Hosain, Deputy Publicity and Publication Secretary Asim Kumar Ukil, Central Executive Committee Member of the Awami League Abdur Rahman MP, M Aktaruzzaman , AKM Enamul Haq Shamim and Sujit Roy Nandi, were also present.
