PMs Of Bangladesh And India Inaugurate Three Projects And Lay Foundation Of Four Projects

They opened and laid the foundation stones of seven projects before delivering the joint press statement at the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) here this afternoon.

The three projects that were inaugurated by the two leaders are the Expansion Development Programme of Shilaidah Rabindra Kuthibari, Upgraded Laboratories at BSTI and Tarapur-Kamlasagar Border Haat.

The projects whose foundation stones were laid are the Construction of Khulna-Mongla Railway Line, Bangladesh-India Friendship Bridge-1 over Feni River, Rehabilitation of Kulaura-Shahbazpur Railway Section and Bangladesh-India Friendship Building.

Later, five memorabilia were exchanged between the two premiers.

The Indian Prime Minister first handed over a replica of Dredger for Mongla Port Trust, a model of 24 Automatic Weather Stations (AWS) and INS Vikrant memento to Sheikh Hasina, while the Bangladesh Prime Minister handed over a map of Indian Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and a replica of 1320 MW Maitree Super Thermal Power Project at Rampal to Narendra Modi.
