The Prime Minister gave the directives at the 18th meeting of the Board of Governors of the Bangladesh Private Export Processing Zone (BPEPZ) held at the Prime Minister's Office today with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.
The private EPZs are- Korean Export Processing Zone (KEPZ) and Rangunia Export Processing Zone.
PM's Press Secretary AKM Shameem Chowdhuri said that the meeting discussed in details the overall progress and existing problems of the two private export processing zones.
Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith, Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu, Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed, Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan, Land Minister Shamsur Rahman Sharif, Environment and Forests Minister Anwar Hossain Monju, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Haque, PM's Economic Affairs Adviser Dr Moshiur Rahman, executive chairman of the Board of Investment SA Samad, State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid, Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr Atiur Rahman, Attorney General Mahbube Alam and concerned secretaries were present.
