"Joy Bangla" is not only the slogan of Awami League; it is the slogan of Bangladesh: Sajeeb Wazed

"This slogan indicates the victory for the people of Bangladesh. Bangladesh is moving forward. And it is the youths, who will take Bangladesh further ahead. My Joy Bangla is building a Digital Bangladesh. We have been able to implement this vision very successfully in the last five or six years," said Joy, also son of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Joy, an ICT specialist, expressed the views while distributing Joy Bangla Youth Award among 30 young champions from different sectors.

With a vision to scout out the young achievers across the country, unfold their untold success stories and unite them under one platform, Centre for Research and Information (CRI) organized the function.

Presided over by CRI executive director Sabbir Bin Shams, the ceremony was addressed by CRI trustee and State Minster for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid Bipu, State Minister for Science and Technology Yafes Osman, State Minister for Woman and Children Affairs Meher Afroz Chumki, State Minister for Post, Telecommunications & Information Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Nayeem Razzaq, MP, Abul Kalam Azad, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, social welfare secretary Nasima Begum, among others.

"Today, the youths who have been awarded, will take Bangladesh forward and that will be the victory for Bangladesh. I believe the youths will take Bangladesh ahead. Our planning is not limited up to 2021. Our plan, the pledge of the Awami League government is that we will establish our country as a middle income country by 2021, a country free of poverty, hunger. Our planning is to turn Bangladesh as a developed nation by 2041," Joy added.

Nasrul Hamid Bipu said the people of Bangladesh joined the war to liberate the motherland following a simple call from Bangabandhu, with his index finger raised, with the slogan "Joy Bangla".

Lauding ICT adviser to Prime Minister for his continuous help in this regard, Zunaid Ahmed Palak said the history of Bangladesh is decorated with the victories of the youths.

"From 1952 to 1971, it's the youths who lead the movements for language and independence alongside Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given us a vision to turn the country as Digital Bangladesh by 2021. Sajeeb Wazed Joy has given us this platform to implement the vision," Palak said.

Nahim Razzaq MP, also the convener of Young Bangla, an youth mobilization initiative launched by CRI, narrated the main goal of the organisation, saying they want to do the coordination job between the government and private initiative for empowering the youths.
