In a felicitation message, the cricket-lover Prime Minister thanked the national team players, manager, coach and cricket board officials for this success.
Bangladesh's cricket has secured a dignified position in the world due to highest sincerity of the government for the development of the cricket in the country and sincere efforts of the players.
She hoped that the national team would continue the trend of victory in the upcoming matches of the series.
Bangladesh crushed Pakistan by seven wickets at the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium here to lead the three-match ODI series 2-0.
Earlier, the Prime Minister enjoyed the match from the President's Box of the stadium. She celebrated Bangladesh victory waving the national flag.
She watched the Bangladesh innings along with Redwan Mujib Siddique Bobby, son of Sheikh Rehana, and Bangladesh Cricket Board President Nazmul Hasan Papon, MP.
The sports-loving Sheikh Hasina came to the stadium to cheer the Tigers as the Bangladesh team were on the way to their historic ODI series win against Pakistan.
Bangladesh Cricket Board media manager Rabeed Imam told BSS that the Premier entered the ground around 8 pm to watch the match.
Extra delight was seen among the crowds at the big bowl when the Prime Minister was seen on the stadium's giant television screen.
