Bangladesh made substantial progress in the UN MDGs, achieving a number of targets before time. Additionally, Bangladesh has also made significant progress in a number of other social and human development indicators during this period.
This has made Bangladesh a development role model in the eyes of the international community. This was possible due to the leadership of PM Sheikh Hasina, and hence, her views on development have become important for the development community.
