According to a statistics of Public Administration Ministry, the number of women job holders stood at 2,88,804 in 2014 while the figure was of 2,23,644 in 2009.
The Public Administration sources said women participation in the public services has increased significantly in the last six years as the present government attached apriority to women's access to job markets for ensuring their empowerment.
