There should not be any conflict, disunity and confusion among the Muslim countries. Muslim nations are rich in many areas and they can share those with each other for their own growth, she said.

Sheikh Hasina said this when newly appointed Iranian ambassador to Bangladesh Dr Abbas Vaezi Dehnavi made a courtesy call on her at her Tejgaon office here today.

PM's Press Secretary Shemeem Chowdhury said the Prime Minister and the envoy discussed various issues relating to mutual interests.

They hoped that the relations between the two brotherly Muslim countries in different areas would be strengthened in the coming days.

Sheikh Hasina said Bangladesh and Iran as two brotherly Muslim countries, share same history and culture. From that point of view the two counties can cooperate with each other to grow together in many areas.

She highlighted the economic progress of Bangladesh over the last few years urging the Iranian government and business persons to invest in prospective sectors in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh is now an ideal place for investment and Iran can take the advantage of Bangladesh's very liberal investment regime, she said.

Seeking Iranian government's support to the development of Bangladesh, the Prime Minister said Iran can import RMG products, ceramics, pharmaceuticals, frozen fishes, leather and leather goods from Bangladesh.

PM's Advisor on International Affairs Dr Ghowhar Rijvi and senior officials of the Prime Minister's Office and Iran embassy in Dhaka were present.

The Ambassador invited the Prime Minister to visit his country. The Prime Minister accepted the invitation saying she is eagerly waiting to visit Tehran. The visit will be held at a convenient time, she said.

The envoy highly praised the leadership of the Prime Minister in Bangladesh's progress over the years and containing terrorism.

The Prime Minister conveyed her regards and best wishes to the Supreme Leader of Iran Great Ayatollah Sayyid Hoseini- Khameini and President of Iran Dr Hassan Rouhani.

She assured the ambassador of giving all support to discharge his duties during his stay in Bangladesh.
