"But the Prime Minister could not enter the office as its gate was closed from inside and she came back after waiting for a few minutes," PM's Media Advisor Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury told journalists.
He said the Prime Minister got down from her car and waited outside the main gate of the office for a few minutes. "None came down to receive or even talk to the Prime Minister," he said.
The PM's media adviser said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina came to Gulshan office of Begum Zia not only as the Prime Minister, but also as a politician and a mother to console another politician and mother.
On hearing the death news of Koko, he said, the Prime Minister rushed to Gulshan office of Khaleda Zia to console her by breaking security and protocol.
None could say ostentatiously at bad time and nobody comes ceremoniously at bad time. "Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also did not come ostentatiously," he said.
On hearing the death news, she did not send anybody; rather, she rushed to Gushan office of Khaleda Zia personally.
"But none from Begum Zia's office was there to open the gate or receive the Prime Minister which is inhuman and contrary to the political manners," he added.
As the Prime Minister had to come back after waiting outside the gate of Khaleda Zia's office for a few minutes --- it cannot be termed as "civility" or good behavior in our politics.
Iqbal Sobahn Chowdhury said, "I think the behaviour shown to the Prime Minister was unfortunate and was not positive for anybody."
"Through this, they not only embarrassed the Prime Minister but also insulted the love of a mother and civility of a politician," he added.
Koko died in Malaysia today.
