"The people of the country now know the history of the nation. Those who make derogatory remarks against Bangabandhu are "kulangar". They would not be spared for such comments. The people would try them," she said.

The Prime Minister said this after holding separate meetings with leaders of Gopalganj district Awami League and Tungipara Upazila Awami League and Kotalipara Upazila Awami League.

She held meetings with the AL leaders at Bangabandhu's house after placing wreaths and offering Fateha and munajat at the mazar of Bangabandhu here.

After the meetings, PM's Press Secretary AKM Shameem Chowdhury briefed reporters.

She said Awami League will have to be strengthened further for maintaining the trend of democracy, constitution and development.
