Bangladesh emerged as one of the Top 50 Global destinations in the index, driven by the Awami League government's monumental initiatives to achieve the vision of transforming our country into a Digital Bangladesh.
Although India remains the top offshoring destination for IT companies, Bangladesh ranked as number one in terms of cost competitiveness in outsourcing service.
The index assessed 51 countries based on metrics under three categories -- financial attractiveness, people skills and availability, and business environment.
Inclusion of Bangladesh in the index will significantly boost ICT investment and outsourcing to the country as global companies and investors follow this report and ranking for decision making.
