The cabinet in its weekly meeting today with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair adopted a resolution in this regard.
The cabinet observed that the Israeli attack is a heinous example of violation of human rights, Cabinet secretary M Musharraf Hossain Bhuiyan told reporters.
The meeting noted that the indiscriminate killing of women and children is particularly very much deplorable, he said.
"Israel is carrying out the barbaric attack in a year which has been declared as the International Year of Solidarity with the Palestine People," the cabinet pointed out, saying, "It's a matter of great regret and contradictory as well."
The cabinet reiterated solidarity with Palestine people and clearly spelled out that Bangladesh, like in the past, would always remain beside the people of Palestine.
The cabinet called for granting the Palestine people their legitimate rights, asking the Foreign Ministry to take necessary diplomatic move in favour of them in the light of Bangladesh's strong stand for Palestine people.
