Lauding Bangladesh for its success in achieving MDGs, Lake said he sees Bangladesh "green" while seeing the MDG chart.
He also highly eulogized Sheikh Hasina's commitment to stop child marriage in Bangladesh by 2041 and vowed to work together to fulfill the pledge.
In response, the Prime Minister thanked the UNICEF for its special role in Bangladesh's War of Liberation in 1971 and later in the development of the children, especially nutrition and education and protecting child rights.
She also extended her thanks to the UNICEF executive director for giving its priority to Bangladesh in economic budget under the Global Economic Programme.
The Prime Minister is now in London to attend the first-ever Girl Summit, 2014.
