Cabinet Condemns The Killing Of Innocent Palestinians In Gaza Strip By Israeli Air Strikes

Terming the killings in the Palestinian territory as a serious violation of human rights, the cabinet noted that the killings in the holy month of Ramadan are more unfortunate.

The condemnation came at the regular weekly cabinet meeting held at Bangladesh Secretariat with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.

After the meeting, Cabinet Secretary M Musharraf Hossain Bhuiyan briefed reporters.

He said the cabinet mentioned that Bangladesh has unequivocal support to the just demands and rights of the Palestinian people, and this support will continue in the future also.

Apart from demanding the immediate stop of barbaric Israeli attacks on the innocent Palestinian people, the cabinet also called on the international community to put pressure on Israel to stop the killings soon.

Besides, the cabinet endorsed the amended agreement on Cultural Cooperation between Bangladesh and Azerbaijan keeping a provision of drafting the agreement in three Languages; English, Bengali and Azerbaijani.

Besides, the cabinet was apprised of the participation of the Foreign Minister in the "Global Oceans Action Summit for Food Security and Blue Growth" held at the Hague in Netherlands on April 22-25, 2014, the "Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict: London 2014" held in London on June 10-13, 2014, and the "Foreign Minister-Level 41st Council of OIC" held in Jeddah on June 18-19, 2014.

Ministers and state ministers concerned attended the meeting, while concerned secretaries were present.
