In a statement, AL General Secretary and Minister for LGRD and Cooperatives Syed Ashraful Islam said United Nations stepped up diplomatic efforts but it did not make any tangible progress, which is a negative signal in the way of the world peace.

It is a threat to the protection of the world peace as Israel's premier announced to continue the attack defying the call of international community including UN's human rights organization, he said.

In a statement, Syed Ashraf said Israel continued the attack for the last few days on many sensitive places including mosque, and disabled centres.

"So far 124 people died and many women and children received serious injuries," he added.

"We condemn the heinous attack on Gaza," read the statement.

"We also demand international steps forthwith with intensified diplomatic efforts to put an end to the attack," it added.

Gaza witnessed a massive human disaster as a result of the continued attack.
