Joy told this to reporters following his 105-minute talks with seven organising secretaries, office secretary and publicity and publication affairs secretary of the ruling Awami League (AL) at the political office of party president Sheikh Hasina at Dhamondi in the city.

The young IT expert has been extending assistance to the government in many ways in fulfilling Awami League's commitment to build a 'digital Bangladesh' within the year 2021. Joy also wished extending his assistance to the ruling party from now on.

In reply to a question, he said, "We have already started work (on IT). A database of the members of the party would be created. Work on the database has been continuing incorporating all the information of the leaders and workers of Awami League starting from ward level so as to maintain contacts with all of them."

Turning to his talks with the secretaries, Joy said, "Awami League family always helps the government. The meeting has been convened with a view to strengthening the government as well as the Awami League and as to how information technology could be used for continuation of the ongoing development activities."

The Prime Minister's IT affairs adviser said, "We have been collecting information from the grassroots level. We want cooperation of all. We want to proceed ahead in this way. We will also ensure Awami League's forward march."

AL organising secretaries Ahmed Hossain, Bir Bahadur, BM Mozammel Huq, AFM Bahauddin Nasim, Misbah Uddin Siraj, Abu Sayeed Al Mahmud Swapan and Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, Publicity and Publication Affairs Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud and State Minister for IT Affairs Junaid Ahmed Palak attended the meeting, among others.
