PM Hosts Iftar For Orphans, War Wounded Ffs, Alems

The Prime Minister went round different tables set for the guests, exchanged pleasantries with them and enquired about their well- being.

Before the iftar, a special munajat was offered seeking continued peace, progress and prosperity of the nation. Khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Maulana M Salauddin Ahmed conducted the munajat.

Prayers were also offered seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Bangamata Fazilatunnesa Mujib and other martyrs of the August 15 massacre, four national leaders, martyrs of the War of Liberation and heroes of democratic movements.

Maulana Mir Mohammad Allama Habibur Rahman Juktibadi, Maulana Selim Hossain Azadi, Maulana Abdul Alim Azadi, Mufti Ubaidul Haque, Shaikh Khandakar Golam Mawla Nakshabandi, Hafez Maulana Abdul Bari, Peerzada Akhtar Hossain Juktibadi, Hafez Mufti Abdus Sattar, Maulana Muhammad Abul Hasan Sheikh Shariatpuri, Mohammad Solaiman Al-Azhari, Maulana Muhammad Ismail Hossain, Maulana Mohammad Khorshed Alam, Mufti Maulana Ruhul Amin, Qari Maulana Mohammad Asaduzzaman Al-Qadri, Maulana Wahiduzzaman and Mufti Maulana Golam Parvez Didar, among others, attended the iftar.

Besides, Religious Affairs Minister Principal Motiur Rahman, Social Welfare Minister Mohsin Ali, Liberation Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque, Dr Dipu Moni, Awami League's Religious Affairs Secretary Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, PM's Principal Secretary Abdus Sobhan Sikdar and Press Secretary AKM Shamim Chowdhury were present, among others.
