PM Paid Tribute To Chinese Martyrs Of Revolutionary Struggle

After placing the wreath, the Prime Minister stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark of respect to the memory of those Chinese heroes who embraced martyrdom during the revolutionary struggle in the 19th and 20th centuries.

A smartly-turned out contingent of Chinese People's Army gave an armed salute, while the national anthems of Bangladesh and China were played on the occasion.

PM's Advisors HT Imam and Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam, Chinese Ambassador in Dhaka Li Jun and other members of the Prime Minister's entourage were present on the occasion.

Later, the Prime Minister visited Beijing Chaoyang Theatre and witnessed a spectacular acrobatic show of Chinese artistes.

On her arrival at the theatre, Sheikh Hasina was received by its general manager Liu Shinguang.
