A special flight of China Eastern Airlines carrying the Prime Minister and her entourage members landed at Beijing International Airport at about 2 pm local time (12 noon BST).
Liu Zhenmin, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of China, received Sheikh Hasina at the airport. Bangladesh Ambassador in Beijing Muhammad Azizul Haque was also present.
The Prime Minister was presented a bouquet by two tiny tots and then introduced with those in the presentation line. She then walked through the static guard of honour by a smartly-turned out contingent of Chinese People's Army.
After a warm welcome at the airport, the Prime Minister was taken to Diaoyutai State Guest House through a ceremonial motorcade where she will reside during her stay in Beijing.
On Monday, Sheikh Hasina will deliver her keynote speech at China Institute of International Studies.
She will later hold official talks with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang. The talks will be followed by a signing ceremony. In the evening, she will attend a banquet to be hosted by her Chinese counterpart.
On Tuesday, the Prime Minister will deliver a keynote speech at the Bangladesh China Trade and Economic Cooperation Forum.
Sheikh Hasina will meet Chinese President Xi Jinping and Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Yu Zhengsheng.
The Prime Minister will give interviews with CCTV, Phonix TV, Yunan TV and Bangla Department of China Radio International. She will also attend a cultural performance by students of Bangla Department of Communication University, China.
Sheikh Hasina will leave Beijing for home in the morning of June 11 and will arrive in Dhaka in the afternoon the same day.
Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali, PM's Advisor on Political Affairs HT Imam, PM's Media Advisor Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam, Foreign Secretary Shahidul Haque and PM's Press Secretary AKM Shamim Chowdhury, among others, are accompanying the Prime Minister during her visit to China. Besides, a 70-member business delegation is also visiting China with Sheikh Hasina.
During her stay in Kunming, the Prime Minister joined the inaugural ceremony of China -South Asia Expo at Kunming International Convention and Exhibition Center and delivered her speech. She also delivered her keynote speech at the China-South Asia Business Forum.
Besides, Sheikh Hasina had a meeting with Vice Premier of China Wang Yang and attended a banquet hosted by Yunnan Province Governor Li Jiheng.
