“The region will further get developed and prosperous if the South Asian nations work together and cooperate with each other,” she said.
The Prime Minister expressed the views when outgoing Sri Lankan High Commissioner WA Sarath Kumara Weragoda paid a courtesy call on her at her official residence Ganobhaban in the evening.
Referring to the long friendly relations between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, the Prime Minister hoped that the ties will further be consolidated in the years to come.
The Sri Lankan High Commissioner extended his sincere thanks to the Prime Minister for performing his responsibilities during his tenure in Bangladesh. He expressed the hope the advancement of Bangladesh as a happy, prosperous and peaceful country would continue.
