State Minister for Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Bir Bahadur, MP, handed over the keys of the buses to the heads of the institutions at a function here today.
The three institutions that received the buses are- Bandarban Government College, Bandarban Government Women's College and Bandarban Technical Traning Centre.
Region Commander of Bandarban Brigadier General Nakib Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner KM Tariqul Islam, Superintendent of Police Debdas Bhattacharya, Pourasabha Mayor Jabed Reza, teachers and students
of the institutions were present on the occasion.
Officials said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina during her visit to Bandarban in 2012 announced giving the buses for the three educational institutions.
