The Prime Minister urged the people to put up resistance against the killers, saying: "We don't want to see blood and dead bodies of the people. " She said the BNP leader won't achieve anything with the dead bodies or by killing the people, rather she will have to be answerable for the killings one day. "So I would like to tell her to stop killing people and playing with their blood, " she said.
The Prime Minister said the opposition is throwing their destructive programmes by sending video messages to the media like Osama bin Laden. "They could not have indulged in such destructive acts if they were true politicians, " she said. "They are not politicians. They are 'killers’and stigma of politics, " she added. The Prime Minister said she (Begum Zia) becomes delighted by seeing the death of innocent people during their hartals and blockades and expresses satisfaction over their"successful movement".
Sheikh Hasina said BNP-Jamaat declared a war against the country and the people by letting loose their terrorists in the destructive acts. "Their movement is nothing except killing of the innocent people, unscrewing fishplates of the railroad and torching the passenger bus," she said.
