Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today asked the Deputy Commissioners (DCs) to be firm and careful in enforcing law to ensure peace and stability through eradicating militancy, terrorism and communalism.
The cabinet in principle approved the draft of "The Bangladesh Shipping Corporation Law, 2016" aimed at infusing more dynamism into the activities of the state-owned organization by updating the existing law.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said the spirit of the independence and Liberation War should be the basic and prime guiding principles for army while this should also be an issue of consideration for the officers promotion in service as well.
